At Turk’s Head Brewery, sustainability isn’t a single initiative. It’s an ongoing commitment to operating responsibly in the Turks & Caicos Islands, protecting the environment we live in, and building a business designed for the long term.

As a locally rooted company, we recognize that what we do here matters. From how we produce our beverages to how we package and distribute them, we are continually investing in smarter, more sustainable solutions.

Closing the Loop: CO₂ Recovery

In 2026, we took a major step forward with the installation of a state-of-the-art CO₂ recovery system.

During fermentation, brewing naturally produces carbon dioxide. Instead of releasing that CO₂ into the atmosphere, our system captures it, purifies it to food-grade quality, and reuses it across our production.

That recovered CO₂ is now used to carbonate our beers as well as our ready-to-drink products, including Gin & Tonic, Osprey Chill, and Osprey Seltzers.

The impact:

  • Prevents approximately 167,000 pounds of CO₂ emissions annually

  • Supports production of roughly 1.9 million litres of beer per year

  • Reduces reliance on imported industrial CO₂

This investment allows us to operate more efficiently while significantly reducing our environmental footprint. It’s a meaningful step toward a more self-sufficient and responsible production model, particularly in an island environment.

Smarter Packaging

Sustainability doesn’t stop at production. Packaging is one of the most important areas where we can make a difference.

ENSO RESTORE™ Technology

We have integrated ENSO RESTORE™ into our plastic packaging, a technology designed to accelerate the natural biodegradation of plastics in landfill environments.

This allows our packaging to maintain the strength and performance required during use, while improving its end-of-life impact. It’s a practical, scalable solution that works within existing recycling and waste systems.

Aluminium & Alternative Formats

We continue to expand the use of aluminium cans across our product range, including Natura canned water, providing a responsible alternative to single-use plastics.

Reusable Glass

With the upcoming launch of VIVE, we are introducing premium water in reusable glass bottles, designed to reduce waste and support a circular approach to packaging.

Turk’s Head Brewery operates as part of Provo Beverages, alongside our spirits division and TC Crystal, the country’s leading water brands. Across the group, we are aligned in our approach to sustainability, continuously exploring ways to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and make better long-term decisions.

In 2026, we celebrate 25 years of Turk’s Head Brewery and Provo Beverages in the Turks & Caicos Islands.
