Turquila is calling on bartenders currently representing bars, restaurants and resorts across Turks & Caicos to take their shot at the Turquila Margarita Bartender Challenge.
The challenge takes place Saturday, November 7 at 3 PM at Turk’s Head Brewery, alongside the Caribbean Food & Wine Festival Jerk Chicken Competition.
And there’s a lot more than bragging rights on the line.
THE WINNER TAKES $1,000
The winning bartender will receive:
$1,000 cash
A feature across Turquila and Turk’s Head Brewery social channels
Their winning margarita featured at The Taproom for one month
That means your drink does not just win the competition. People actually get to order it.
HOW IT WORKS
Choose the Turquila expression you want to build around:
Cay Blanco
Fresh, bright and crisp.
Cay Oro
Warm, smooth and rounded.
Cay Fuego
Deeper, bolder and subtly smoky.
Then create one signature margarita that shows us what you can do with it.
We are looking for a drink that tastes great, feels considered and could genuinely earn a place on a menu.
PRE-REGISTER AND WE’LL BRING YOU THE TURQUILA
Pre-register by November 5 with your name, venue and contact information.
Choose one expression, Cay Blanco, Cay Oro or Cay Fuego, and the Provo Beverages team will arrange to deliver a bottle directly to your bar, restaurant or resort so you have time to experiment and perfect your recipe before competition day.
No advance recipe submission is required.
Multiple bartenders from the same venue are welcome. In fact, we encourage it.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
On competition day we’ll have:
Turquila Cay Blanco, Cay Oro and Cay Fuego
Tradewinds Triple Sec
Fresh limes
Basic bar equipment
Bring any additional ingredients, garnishes or specialized tools your margarita requires.
Then make your drink and put it in front of the judges.
